Kensington LiquidAUX for iPhone and iPod

The Kensington LiquidAUX for iPhone and iPod is an entry-level auxiliary car kit designed for listening to iPod or iPhone music in a car. Unlike the LiquidAUX Deluxe, this model lacks a flexible gooseneck and rotating cradle; instead, the unit just clips onto a car.

Like its predecessor, it first plugs into a car’s lighter port, from which it receives energy. It then plugs into the car stereo’s auxiliary input. After that, a compatible iPhone or iPod can be plugged into the unit. So long as the iPod or iPhone is plugged in, it will be charged, even if it’s being used to play music. Although the LiquidAUX device is useful, it does host some serious faults: a requirement for lots of wires; and the need for an in-dash auxiliary port.
