This model also comes with a 300W Class D amplifier and sealed 12" subwoofer enclosure with sub, making it an all in one solution for upgrading a factory audio system. The DSP unit is made with selectable sound staging for up to 18 vehicle types, and it serves to improve sound quality of the CD/FM head unit by passing the audio through balancing and sound staging algorithms before sending it to either the 4 x 45W internal amp or in this case on to the included external amplifier and subwoofer via the built-in RCA front, rear and sub outputs. Since the audio from your iPhone/iPod is streamed digitally to the unit, there is no audio loss, and you have the option of playing songs stored on the device or streamed through the device via internet audio apps. As well as improving audio quality of stored music and audio from your CDplayer/FM tuner, the DSP unit offers adjustment of crossover points, equalization and time alignment so you can customize it to your preference.
