TomTom iPhone Car Kit

$120.00 Released October, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Built in microphone and speaker. Keeps your iPhone charged while docked. Solid dock for easy viewing, storage and use of your iPhone while driving.

The Cons:High price considering you must purchase the TomTom application as well ($100). Will not work with the Touch despite having a dedicated GPS chip. Delayed for a long time, much like the app was.

The TomTom iPhone Car Kit (October 2009) is a device that turns an Apple device — iPhone 3G/3Gs or iPod Touch — into a fully functioning TomTom navigation system. It allows the iPhone/iPod to be suction-cupped onto a windshield and includes a speaker plus an integrated secondary GPS receiver for increased signal reception.
